Sanlu Resumes Milk Production with New Name

Dec 04, 2008 - Xingtai, Hebei, China - Hebei Beilande Dairy, earlier known as Xingtai Sanlu Dairy, resumed its supplies on December 2. The firm was the largest milk production base of the Sanlu Group, whose baby milk food was the first to be found with high levels of melamine. Later other firms products were also found to contain melamine and caused the death of six infants and left about 294,000 ill.
